INTRODUCTION AND GENERAL PRESENTATION
LA MANTA FOODS was founded in 1986 as a company specialised in fruit trade for the industry.
Over the years, the industry of fruit transformation refined its demand, looking not only to the excess of production, but requiring specific productions: for this reason LA MANTA FOODS has invested in the selection of its suppliers and in the technical support at every stage of crop production, to build a reliable supply chain and to provide quality and safety to its customers.
We believe in organic farming from the beginning of our activity and we personally promote this philosophy among our suppliers, supporting them during the process to obtain the organic certification.

Today LA MANTA FOODS is:
trader of organic, baby food and conventional fruit for transformation industry; a company specialised in transformation of organic, baby food and conventional fruit for production of fruit puree using in baby food, beverage and confectionery industry.
A line of organic products distributed in Italy.

HISTORY
1986: MANTAFRUTTA is founded as a company specialised in fruit trade for transformation industry.
1992: the company obtaines the first organic certificafion. Believing in organic, the company starts promoting the organic program with its suppliers, supporting them in the process to obtaine the certification.
1996: Changes its name to LA MANTA FOODS snc.
1998: To diversify its activities and to improve the quality of its services, the company builds a new headquarter, in the hearth of a territory always known for fruit cultivation, close to the towns of Manta, Saluzzo and Lagnasco.
2000: the company becames LA MANTA FOODS SRL.
2002: in the new headquarter in Manta start the activities.
2009: after a new extensions in 2004 and some test, the company starts the activity of fruit puree production, always working as traider.
2010: LA MANTA FOODS develops a line of organic products for the consumer market: bottled juice, “Fruttuosi” organic fruit pulp, packaged in 100 g portion and “Fulluosi” bottled smoothies.
2015: to improve its service, the company obtaines the certification IFS for our quality and food safety system. LA MANTA FOODS starts investing directly in orchards, financing new crops for the producers, to obtaine specific production for satisfy the requirements of the customers. The constant production increase requires space for storage. LA MANTA FOODS buys 9600 sqm of land to extend the plant and opens a new facility just a few hundred meters away from its headquarter. This facility is equipped with additional cooling rooms and warehouses to store the fruit, and has an area to sort and pack the fruit for transformation and for the fresh market.
2016: LA MANTA FOODS celebrates 30 years of activity.

CERTIFICATIONS
To alway satisfy the market needs and demands of its customers, LA MANTA FOODS has constantly invested to ensure compliance with standards and regulations on the part for its processes and products. Therefore, in addition to the Organic Certification, the company:

- has obtained the quality and food safety certification IFS for the production of fruit purees; - has obtained the Demeter Italian brand for products from Biodynamic agriculture; - is registered in the Sedex ethics program; - is in possession of the FDA registration to export in USA.
